Let me see. Line 6 HX Stomp or HX Stomp XL? Good to have choices. As it is the season of giving and I am not a selfish person, I have decided to “give” both of these toys a nice new home for Day 4 of the countdown. Happy Holidays……

If I am going to play my guitar all day with the amp turned up to 10 I probably should wear earplugs. My gift for Day 5 of the countdown is a pair Hearos. What did you say…..?

After 35 years of playing bass I picked up a guitar for my midlife “affirmation”. When I needed an amplifier I chose the lovely Deluxe Reverb pictured above. When I was a bass player I never understood or appreciated why guitar players were so obsessed over amps and the gear they selected. Now I do. I had the the gift of hearing the sounds of my Deluxe Reverb all day for Day 6.

On the 7th Day of Christmas my doctor gave to me…. a clean bill of health. Always thankful for this gift.

Yes, I know. I’m a little behind with my Christmas countdown. Gonna catch up though, starting tonight. Gift of family as my dad stopped by. Grateful for healthy parents this Holiday Season.

They say music is the universal language. On any given day at any time music can be heard in some form somewhere.  For today I received the gift of live music as The New Variety Collective gave a free concert at my house. Good thing I love music……..

As we count down the days to Christmas I remain aware of the current state of the world. We could all use a little more peace in our lives. World peace is a good gift wish for any day. If not world peace how about peace in the the United States. Remember, it doesn’t cost anything.

12th day of Christmas. Since I’m considering an amp modeler I might as well try more than one. In addition to the Fender Tone Master Pro I’ll take this Line 6 Helix Stadium as well.

Guitar amp modelers have become quite popular in the last ten years. I prefer actual amps for my sound. But, having this Fender Tone Master Pro as today’s gift may change my mind.
