Saturday August 15, 2026. 8:30am. My father’s hometown is having a community day. That community happens to be Accomack, Virginia. I know I know. You probably haven’t heard of Accomack, Virginia. Just so you’ll know it is a small county connected to Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Whenever I would tell my friends that I was going to Accomack and I had to go over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge they’d look at me and say, “That’s not how you go to virginia.” LOL!
The town and county have very interesting history. Look it up if you’re so inclined. Not to brag on my relatives, but the people from there are some of the most humble, friendly, kind, giving and decent people you’ll ever meet. They possess a dignified humility that you’d have to experience to understand. Truly personable and sincerly loving. No pretense at all.
I’m about to hit the road for a three hour drive. I’ll tell you how it went. Enjoy your weekend!
